Privacy Policy
Effective October 24, 2026
We value your privacy and the trust you place in us. This Privacy Policy describes how El Tenor Tequila (“El Tenor,” “we,” “us” or “our”) collects, uses and protects your personal information when you visit our website, join The List, request a private tasting, apply to El Palco or correspond with us. It also outlines your rights and choices regarding that information.
1. Information you share with us
We collect the information you submit through our forms and correspondence. The information depends on how you choose to engage with El Tenor:
- The List: your name, email address, city, date of birth and consent to receive updates.
- Tasting requests: your name, email address, city, referral information and any message you provide.
- El Palco applications: your name, email address, city, date of birth, profession, referral information, tasting attendance, application answers and consent. You may also provide a phone number and social or professional profile links.
- Communications and participation: information in your correspondence with us, and records relating to invitations, application reviews and tasting attendance.
Please do not include payment-card details, government identification documents, medical information or other sensitive information in application answers or messages.
2. How we use information
We use personal information to manage The List; communicate about releases and special editions; respond to requests; review El Palco applications; coordinate invitations and gatherings; verify age eligibility; maintain our relationship with you; and protect our website from misuse. We may also use information to meet legal obligations and resolve disputes.
Submitting a tasting request or application does not guarantee an invitation or membership. Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on your consent, steps taken at your request, our legitimate interests in administering and safeguarding these services, or our legal obligations, as appropriate. You may withdraw consent where processing relies on it.
3. Website information and cookies
Operating the website involves processing technical information such as IP addresses, request details, browser information and security logs. Cookies or similar technologies may be used for essential functions, including maintaining a secure administrator session. Our hosting and website providers also process technical information to deliver and protect the site.
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may affect some functions. When your browser requests externally hosted resources, such as fonts, the provider receives technical information needed to respond to that request.
4. How information is shared
Personal information may be accessed by authorized people administering El Tenor and by service providers supporting website hosting, information storage, security and communications. When arranging an invitation or event, we may share the information necessary for that arrangement with the relevant host or venue.
We may disclose information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in connection with a business transfer, subject to applicable safeguards. Application information and guest lists are not published on our public tasting page.
5. Retention and security
We retain information for the purposes described in this policy, taking into account our ongoing relationship with you and applicable legal, security and recordkeeping needs. Retention may vary by the type of record. You can contact us to request deletion; certain records may need to be retained to meet legal obligations, resolve disputes or respect your communication preferences.
Access to private application and contact records is restricted. No website, storage system or method of transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your choices and rights
You may ask us to stop sending promotional communications at any time by emailing info@tenortequila.com. Necessary replies about an existing request or your participation may still be sent.
Depending on where you live and which laws apply, you may have rights to access or obtain a copy of your information, correct it, request deletion, restrict or object to certain uses, withdraw consent, or exercise rights relating to the sale or sharing of information for targeted advertising. Some laws also provide an appeal process or a right to complain to a privacy regulator.
To make a request, contact us at the address below and describe what you would like us to do. We may need to verify your identity or an authorized representative’s authority before acting. We will respond as required by applicable law. We will not unlawfully discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
7. Legal drinking age
This website is intended for people of legal drinking age in their country. The List and El Palco applications require applicants to be at least 21. We do not knowingly seek personal information from people who do not meet the relevant age requirement. If you believe an underage person has submitted information, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
8. Other websites and international processing
Links to retailers, social platforms and other websites take you to services governed by their own privacy policies. This policy does not cover their practices.
Our website and service providers may process information outside your state or country, where privacy laws may differ. Where applicable law requires safeguards for international transfers, those requirements apply.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as our services or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent for material changes.
